London’s National Theater is streaming a selection of some of their finest productions on a weekly basis for free on YouTube, starting on Thursday, April 2. Each production is made available to enjoy for a week. The schedule begins with the online premiere of Richard Bean’s hilarious play, One Man, Two Guvnors, starring English actor, comedian and television host, James Corden.
The play is an English adaptation of the 1743 Italian Commedia dell’arte style play Il servitore di due padroni, by the Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni. It opened at the National Theatre in 2011, eventually becoming a hit on Broadway and many stages around the world.

Founded by the late British stage and film actor Peter O’Toole, the company gave its first-ever performance on October 22, 1963 with a production of Hamlet, starring Peter O’Toole. Since then, the National Theatre has produced well over 800 plays.
