Regarded as a titan of American musicals, the late composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim left behind a legacy of extraordinary, award-winning musicals for entire generations to discover and enjoy. Sometimes, however, it takes repeated exposure to some of his lyrics to truly appreciate their wit.
Instead of concentrating on entire shows, in this unique presentation we will narrow our focus to specific lyrics in particular songs, always providing the necessary context to establish an emotional and often humorous connection to his unique wordcraft.
